Delete Your Chore Report Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to request deletion of your Chore Report account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to request deletion

To delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@chorereport.com from the email address associated with your account. Please include the subject line "Delete my account".

We will confirm your request and process it within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your account profile (email, display name, avatar).
  • All households you own, including all associated chore templates, assignments, completion records, and payout history.
  • All chore submission photos uploaded by you or children in your household.
  • All child accounts within your households (children do not have independent accounts).
  • Your subscription history with our payment processor (RevenueCat).

What data may be retained

We may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Transaction records required for tax and financial compliance (retained for up to 7 years).
  • Support correspondence for quality and security purposes (retained for up to 2 years).
  • Anonymized, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you.

Partial deletion

Parents can delete individual child accounts at any time from within the parent dashboard without deleting their own account. To request deletion of any other specific data (for example, specific chore photos) without closing your account, email hello@chorereport.com.
